All staff have the minimum of a B.A.degree, with some pursuing further education in the mental health field. Previous experience in human services is not a requirement, but strong interpersonal skills are a must.
Staff can expect exposure to a multitude of psychiatric disabilities, but ultimately learn how to work effectively with others. There is a high emphasis on the de-stigmatization of mental illness.
Quarterly trainings are provided by our clinical consultants. Our consultants attend staff meetings on a biweekly basis to provide staff with additional education/support regarding resident concerns.
Staff are required to have CPR/First Aid Certification.
